Dara of Mutts N Manners is excellent with both the pet and the person. She not only helps you and your dog learn to work together but she teaches the entire family as it is important that all family members are able to work with the pet and see positive results. Dara came to my house and taught me a lot about being a good puppy. We had lots of fun. She knows what to say and helped me learn how to listen. I learned to lie down, stay and walk nicely on a leash. I also learned the safe ways to play tug-o-war and other games so that everyone has fun. Dara knows how to build a great relationship with animals and really helped my owners strengthen their relationship with me. And her treats were yummy too.
With Pearl's "puppy mill" background, and her old age of 10, I thought she was a lost cause, but Dara proved to me that you can teach an old dog new tricks!
Dara demonstrated a number of new behaviours to teach Pearl, and to my surprise, Pearl caught on very quickly and has learned to sit, stay, lie down, and to take treats nicely. Dara's method is gentle and reassuring. It has been one month since my “Training in a Day Session” two hour lesson with Dara, and Pearl has become a much more calm and confident dog. I am very pleased with my Mutts n' Manners experience and with the abundance of practice and literature provided. Thank you Dara for helping my nervous and demanding little girl!

We just want to say how very pleased we are with the results of your fine training of Tessa. As you remember, she was a most unruly 8 month old pup. She has improved so much in the past two and a half months. We could not have done it without your patience and expert handling of dogs. We highly recommend you as a very good trainer and plan to continue with you for as long as it takes to get Tessa able to play with other dogs and eventually be let off leash at the parks.
