Dara Ashton Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) is certified by the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers. The CCPDT is an internationally recognized testing process which encourages continuing education and humane training methods. Dara also holds professional memberships with the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers (CAPPDT), and the Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).
Dara has been the training director for Breadner Veterinary Services and she was in charge of implementing positive pet dog training programs. These training programs included; Puppy, Adult & Advanced Manners Classes as well as behavioural modification programs. Dara also worked closely with Dr Shelley Breadner and would often do follow up behavioural modification programs with many of her clients.
Dara has also had the pleasure of working in the capacity of Training Instructor/Assistant with Anne Everett (Cobley) of Heads Up Kennels and Dog Training.
Dara’s philosophy is that continuing education is the key to staying on top of this changing occupation. Accordingly she has attended the seminars listed below, and continues to attend one to two seminars annually.
As a personal pledge, Dara is committed to providing the most up to date force-free dog training methods for her students.
